We Love Lucia: FANs Enjoy Great Donizetti Work at Florida Grand Opera

FANs attended a matinee performance of Lucia di Lammermoor by Gaetano Donizetti produced by Florida Grand Opera on Sunday, November 12 at the Adrienne Arsht Center.

Lucia di Lammermoor is an acting and musical tour de force. Lucia is the unlucky Scottish girl who becomes a pawn in her family’s plot to revive its fortunes. She is forced into a marriage against her will with dire consequences.

This haunting, atmospheric opera, complete with crumbling castles and ghostly apparitions has a breathtaking mad scene that helps make it a timeless—and bloody—romantic classic.

FANS lunched pre-performance at Books and Books at the Adrienne Arsht Center Carnival Tower.

This operatic event that we proudly funded was hosted by Lisa Lachman and Merle Frank.
