New Member Luncheon & Orientation: Sunny & Cool

Over 40 new FANS joined board members at the New Member Luncheon and Orientation at Charcoal at Wynwood Yards on March 13  — in perfect weather for this indoor-outdoor event.

At the vegetable and herb garden/restaurant complex across from the Rubell Collection near Midtown, we enjoyed delicious  Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern influenced food — with a sweet treat of chocolate-chip and oatmeal raisin cookies.

FAN board members who spoke to the group about the benefits and importance of our organization included President Maureen Gragg, Membership Vice President Sydney Carpel, membership team members Betty Fleming and Marilyn Berens, Grants Vice Presidents Paula Finkle and Joan de Pontet, Cultural Camaraderie head Joanne Levite, and Communications Vice President Maureen Berkowitz.

FAN Founder Debbie Hoffman ended the program and FANS chatted in the sunshine long after.

The program was intended to inform the newest FAN members about our processes and benefits – they heard and learned – and as a result we now have 5 more people planning to join Funding Arts Network. The more members we have, the greater our granting pool and the more monies can be distributed to enhance the cultural arts organizations in Miami-Dade County.
