FAN Luncheon

First Luncheon Of 23rd FAN Season Features Recreation of a NWS Blind Audition

“The Most Frightening Five Minutes of My Life” is not a typical title for a FAN buffet luncheon. But it was explained wonderfully on Tuesday November 6th by New World Symphony guest speakers: Kip Reicken, Viola Fellow; Michael Linville, Associate Dean for Chamber Music; John Kieser, Executive VP and Provost; and JT Kane, Dean of Visiting Faculty and Orchestra Manager.

Kip performed a mock blind audition on the viola in front of a packed room of FANS and guests at the Coral Reef Yacht Club. The audience included many new and potential FAN members.

Thanks to Bobbi Litt, a FAN board director, for creating this unusual and informative program. FAN speakers included President Maureen Gragg and Co-Vice Presidents of Grants Paula Finkle and Lisa Lachman. Board members Teresa Zohn, Linda Gassenheimer, Naomi Honig and other FANS contributed to the success.
