FUNDING ARTS NETWORK is dedicated to the cultural enrichment of Miami-Dade County residents by providing funding for programs presented to the public by local visual and performing arts organizations.

If you are a provider of visual or performing arts programs in Miami-Dade County, and have a proposed program for which you would like to seek funding from FAN, please see the 2010 application and guidelines which contains criteria for eligibility and funding; a description of the screening and selection process; answers to frequently asked questions; and instructions on completing the application and frequently asked questions. Please note that each year we update our application and guidelines  and there  can be some changes.

For more information or help with your application FAN holds a Grant Workshop for all Visual and Performing Arts Organizations wishing to apply to FAN for a grant.

The Workshop will be held  in October 2010

Dates will be posted in August.

FAN and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation seek to broaden audiences  encourage new work and enhance Miami’s reputation as an arts venue by awarding $25,000 for a new work of art, presented in an innovative manner which will reach a broad cross section of the population. 

CONGRATULATIONS

Tigertail Productions, Inc. Global Caribbean II

 Global Carribean is a collaborative project among Tigertail, Haitian Cultural Alliance and Culture France. It will be a commission of new work for exhibit in Miami at the Little Haiti Cultural Center by three outstanding, interdisciplinary Haitian visual artists who were impacted by the recent earthquake. The artists will be selected and the exhibit will be curated by Edouard Duval Carrie, internationally renown Haitian-born and Miami-based visual artist and sculptor. The exhibit aims to reveal the contemporary face of Haiti by bringing contemporary rather than folkloric art work of excellence into prominence during Art Basel.

A 78-page color catalog published in English and French will be produced. There will be no charge to attend.

Appliations and guidelines for the 2011, $25,000 KNWA grant will be available in January 2011.
