FanFare: A Stimulating Four-Part Discussion in Poetry, Film, Music & Dance

The Advisory Council to FAN presented  “FANFare: Made in Miami,” four programs, two-hours each, in collaboration with ARTBURST Miami. These exciting, informative programs with journalists, critics and practitioners in poetry, film, music and dance were held at The Grove at Grand Bay Condo in Library.

The programs:

— Monday, February 5- Poetry – Featuring Poet Campbell McGrath, FIU professor and Pulitzer Prize nominee; with ARTBURST Reviewer/Critic Mia Leonin

— Monday, February 12 – Film – Bookseller and film producer Mitch Kaplan; author Les Standiford and Nat Chediak discussing Standiford’s book, The Man Who Invented Christmas, which Kaplan brought to the screen

— Tuesday, February 20 – Music – ARTBURST Music and opera writer/reviewer Celeste Landeros and conductor Michael Rossi of the Miami Music Festival with several alumni performers

— Monday, February 26 – Dance – Jennifer Kronenberg and Carlos Guerra, Founders of Dimensions Dance Theatre Miami, formerly principal dancers of Miami City Ballet; with Sam Erwin, ARTBURST Miami
