Cultural Camaraderie brings FAN members and guests together for FAN-funded grantees’ programs, and on March 22 at Gusman Hall at the University of Miami, FAN enjoyed a program of Friends of Chamber Music with the Chamber Orchestra Kremlin.
Misha Rachlesvsky conducted a program featuring Rossini’s Sonata For Strings No. 3 In C Major; Prokofiev’s Visions Fugitives, Op. 22 and Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, Op. 48. This high energy and creative ensemble, boasting many of Russia’s finest string virtuosi, was created in 1981. It has a devoted audience in Moscow, an award-winning catalog of over 30 CD’s, and an increasing demand for performances.
Dinner followed at Shula’s 347 Grill, with lots of conversation about the delightful program.
