On Friday, March 9 at Carnival Studio Theater at the Ziff Opera, Adrienne Arsht Center, about 25 FANs and guests enjoyed the play “Dancing Lessons.” The drama is the story of Ever, a young man with high-functioning autism who seeks the help of a Broadway dancer to learn enough to survive an awards dinner.
The dancer, Senga, is recovering from an injury that may end her dancing career. As their relationship unfolds, they’re both caught off-guard by the discoveries — both hilarious and heartwarming — that they make about each other, and themselves.
Dinner before the event was at Books and Books Café in the Carnival Tower, Ziff Opera House. A visit from playwright/actor/stage director Michael McKeever was a lovely surprise. (And he loves FAN!)
This Cultural Camaraderie evening was hosted by Mary Brenner and Renee Lieberman.
