At the final luncheon of FAN’s 21st season, May 2, at Coral Reef Yacht Club, Coconut Grove, FAN members awarded $242,500 to 19 Miami-Dade arts organizations This brings the amount of money awarded by FAN to over $4 million, to some 100 diverse dance, music, theater and visual arts programs since 1996.
Our organization has continued to enrich Miami Dade locals and visitors, and has made a significant and lasting contribution to the arts in our area.
The 2017-18 grantees, along with their monetary award, was determined by members’ votes, and approved by the Board of Directors after careful review of over 40 applications by the FAN Grant Screening Teams. Considerations of candidates included the quality of the programs, the audience impact and fiscal soundness.
We thank VP Grants Joan de Pontet and her committees for their thoughtful work and dedication.
