At an afternoon Cultural Camaraderie event on January 15, 2015 at the Patricia and Phillip Frost Art Museum-Florida International University, FAN members and guests enjoyed the work of Wang Qingsong, one of China’s most innovative contemporary artists. He turned from painting to photography in the late 1990s, and currently works in documentary, staged and scroll photography, computer-generated images and sculpture. ADinfinitum featured large-scale photographic masterpieces showing the earthshaking changes occurring in contemporary China, and the contradictions and problems brought about by this rapid transition.
CC guests enjoyed a buffet lunch, with an introduction by Professor Lidu Yi, curator of the exhibit, followed by a tour of the artworks. Sheila Goodman and Suzanne Stolar were FAN hosts.
